Treating & Cleaning Pet Stained Rugs
Removing urine stains and pet odour is a difficult task for a regular carpet cleaner, never mind a homeowner!
A standard professional carpet cleaning machines simply cannot remove all the odour from the fibres and backing of a rug and that is why it needs a deep clean in a specialised rug spa.
All pet stained rugs go through a multi-stage process including our soaking tub that really draws out any lingering odours.
Our Pet Stain & Odour Removal Process
Our pet treatment method is the most thorough cleaning process in the industry.
- We carry out a pre-wash dusting using our automatic duster to remove as much dry non water soluble soil as possible (sand grit and hair etc).
- Pre-treat with a sanitising solution.
- Pre-test and apply dye stabiliser if required (this is not guaranteed to work on urine but can aid greatly in reducing the amount of further dye migration caused by the urine).
- Wash the rug using automatic machine or hand wash method.
- Rinse and then rapid moisture removal using centrifuge.
- Re-apply sanitiser and odour eliminator product.
- Repeat washing procedure and hang to dry in our temperature controlled drying room.
- Once dry we use an o-zone machine to remove any residual odour.
- Any residual stains will be treated and removed where possible.
- Final detailed inspection before packing ready for collection/delivery.
